Reasons for Decision Dr Adam Matthews (Subject to a Stay)

The decisions of the Racing Appeal Tribunal dated 20 July 2020 and 18 June 2021 in respect of Dr Adam Matthews are in the link below, in which the Tribunal found Dr Matthew guilty of the 5 cobalt-related charges against him that were laid by the Stewards in 2015 and disqualified Dr Matthews for an effective period of 6 months.

Dr Matthews has sought judicial review of those decisions commencing proceedings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and both decisions are stayed until final determination of those judicial review proceedings or further order. Accordingly, Dr Matthews is not currently disqualified.
