Working in Hot Weather
Working in hot weather and/or extreme heat can impact people working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
PCBU’s must manage the risks of sun-related disease and injury, including by:
- working indoors (where possible)
- scheduling work during off-peak temperature hours or shorter shifts with frequent rest breaks
- providing shade and shelter, and
- using sun protective clothing, hats, sunglasses and sunscreen.
